Device Requirements

Eighth grade and high school students are required to bring their own devices to school. The device choice is open to the student; however, we do have requirements that should be understood before purchasing a device.
 
*Cell phones are not considered acceptable devices.
 

WINDOWS LAPTOPS/TABLETS:
- Operating System: Windows 10 (or higher)
- Specifications: 8 GB RAM (16GB or more recommended), 6 hours of battery life, 256 GB SSD (or greater)

MACBOOKS:
- Operating System: macOS 13 (or higher)
- Specifications: 8GB RAM (16GB or more recommended), 6 hours of battery life, 256 GB SSD (or greater)

CHROMEBOOKS:
- Manufacture Date: 2019 (or later)
- Specifications: 4GB RAM (8 GB recommended), 6 hours of battery life, 64 GB SSD (or greater)

TABLETS:
- Operating Systems: iPadOS 17 (or higher), Android 12 (or higher)
 

Information

 

FACTS is used to check your student’s grades, homework assignments, progress, and quarterly report cards, see school announcements, pay for school lunches and where you will receive and have the option to pay your tuition bill each month. FACTS can be accessed from the TMA website (www.mastersacademy.org). All first-time users will need to enter the email address provided to TMA. The email address will serve as your login username. If you have not provided an email address to the main office please do so as soon as possible. The district code is TMAOV-FL. For set-up instructions, visit the link below.

Students will have access to Google Drive and Gmail. They will need to frequently check emails as a means of communication between teachers, campus activities, and administration.

To Access:
  1. Go to www.google.com
  2. Click on sign in
  3. User ID: firstnamelastnamegraduationyear@tmastudent.org (no spaces) Example: JohnSmith20@tmastudent.org
  4. Password: M@sters!1 (You will be prompted to change your password after initial sign in.)

 

 
Canvas is a course management system that supports online learning and teaching.
 
1. Students
  1. Go to Mastersacademy.instructure.com
  2. In the email field, enter your TMA email address. Example: JohnSmith20@tmastudent.org
  3. In the password field, enter Masters123
  4. Change the password immediately after logging in.
 
 
2. Parents
Parents can create their own Canvas account to connect to your child's account as an “observer.” This will allow you to see and interact with the Canvas courses that they are enrolled in. For instructions on how to create your account and link to your child, visit the link below.
