Our main goals, as indicated in our school’s mission statement, are to provide your child with an excellent academic experience as well as transformational spiritual mentorship. A committed group of Christian professionals seeks to build a firm academic and spiritual foundation for your child that can be strengthened through their middle and high school years. Our curriculum is aligned to both state and national standards. Through our instruction, Scripture is integrated and a biblical worldview nurtured and developed in all our students. Our Lower School educational experience includes instruction in five core subject areas: English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and Bible. Our Lower School students also participate weekly in PE, Art, Music, Library, Spanish, and our innovative STEAM lab. Our STEAM lab focuses on developing 21st century skills in the areas of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. Students will grow in their ability to be creative and collaborative problem-solvers by utilizing the design-thinking process.
At TMA Lower School, students attend chapel once a week that includes a worship time and an appropriate lesson provided by TMA staff, local pastors, and our LS drama team (A.C.T.S.). During the course of the school year, we also offer a Lower School athletic program that includes basketball, soccer, volleyball, cheer, track and flag football. We couple these offerings with many other before & after school club choices that include: robotics & movie-making, American Girl, Bible-quizzing, and the Fine Arts Experiences that include after school art programs, musical lessons, and drama. We strive to provide a menu of high quality choices for our students to explore their interests and develop their God-given gifts and talents.
